Just got back from doing some new promo shots with Alexa. Here’s a sneak peak.

I love it when Tumblr edits the colour of my shots. NAT.

I see lots of people post things like this, and it’s a common misconception.  Tumblr doesn’t change the colours - it literally can’t.  It’s the browser’s interpretation.
Browsers generally speaking ignore colour profiles and assume everything is in sRGB colour space.  Safari is the exception; recent versions of FireFox will turn on colour profiles only if the image is tagged, but in my experience it’s pretty hit-and-miss.  If your picture isn’t in sRGB, chances are the colours won’t be reproduced correctly - and if you normally use AdobeRGB (which Canon and Nikon cameras tend to be set up for), your photos will end up looking washed out.
When you’re done editing an image that will be put on the web, (assuming you’re using PhotoShop) go on Edit -> Convert to profile -> select sRGB 2… something.  I can’t remember the number.  That should sort out the problem.
